This work is about the 'veil debate' - whether or not Muslim women should be allowed to wear the veil in public. It struck me that nobody in the mainstream media had actually asked Muslim women what they want. Do these women want to be rid of the veil forever? Or would they rather wear it?

I wanted to create a work that posed this question, and to remind people that this is a matter of personal freedom, and with that comes choice. I hope that this work shows that rather than safeguarding this individual right to choose, outright bans can only crush our personal freedoms.
